My story
–> Began my career in communications/print news design + illustration (Salt Lake Tribune, Virginian-Pilot); I also write and edit
–> Moved into social media design in 2014, freelancing for Ogilvy (with clients like Aetna, VitaminWater, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, AmEx, Coca Cola), then CeraVe (L’Oréal): visual design, brand, animation.
–> Art direction at a college communications office: presentations, PR, swag, illustrations, events, web & editorial design
–> Pivoted to user experience at an academic library, where I built the team and the research program, led the overhaul of the main site information architecture, and developed a team of student designers, researchers and editors
“I want to make beautiful things, even if nobody cares.”
